    Ohhh to have money...

It started out looking like this was all we would see because the tide didn't seem to be retreating at the time it was supposed to but,

And it just got better as we worked out way out into the rocks.

Obviously, these are underwater. i didn't bring a marine camera and I don't have a polarizing filter for my macro lens but...so these are all shot through the surface of the water. A lot of reflection shots but I found a few that are good.

there were a couple of kids, probably 10-12 years old on a playdate? ( I must be getting old) that were helping us find stuff to photograph. they counted over 78 star fish and I know ther had to be at least that many more we were'nt seeing.

Purple Sea Urchins, green and white anemones, shrimps, crabs, star fish. These are the most prolific tide pools I've seen in a while.

Found some nice shells too. I remember seeing these being used to make lamps and stuff at a factory in Naples, Italy.

The colors were incredible everywhere you look.

SUCKS! Living in Southern California doesn't it?

Sorry for the duplication. I didn't realize the new site lets me stay logged on for ever...

          Kurt,

Awesome photography. Reminds me of staying at my aunts house in Laguna during the summer as a kid, riding in her Triumph TR-3 convertible, heading to those special little coves with the stairs and steps leading to them. Thanks for the reminder. Amazing shots and detail.
