Went off to find some caves with those indian drawings...in a tight section of the canyon this lizard charges out. Ran up my leg, stopped at my knee. I shook it off. Charged us twice. It ran back into a bush. Dang thing weighed prob 1/2 lb
I rolled the bush over and it was tangled up in it a bit. It was big slow and fat..female ready to lay.
We are by no means professional photographers but do not leave home without a camera... Here are a few pictures we captured while on a trip through the Florida Everglades...

K,
Have a bird also makin all kind of noise in the morning gonna shoot it but not with the camera....
Chuckwalla (I call em' Chuck Wallace). Can get very large and when feel threatened they do "push-ups" as a warning sign. They'll crawl between rocks and "puff up" to wedge themselves into the rocks. Nice picture!

This pic is spectacular. Very nice. Glad you never leave home without it (camera)
I just got my newest lens for the Canon Eos Rebel; 90mm 1:2.8 macro. I did a lot of research looking for an economical lens that will do what I want. Tamron makes just what I was looking for, and it gets some pretty good reviews. So far I'm blown away by just how small an object this lens will focus. 1.1 life size with a fairly large view angle (27degrees) and shoots to infinity just as well. My new all purpose lens, although I bought it for macro work. I'm just learning how to utilize it, but here are two pics I just snapped waiting to get on a plane for Portland

I can't wait to get out in the field with this thing. Maybe this weekend in Portland.
