  • Budget Lift Idea

I heard that it was possible to do a budget lift with a front to rear spring swap and inserting springs from a Grand Cherokee over the front axle.

I had heard of doing this with a GC, but never with a TJ. Is there something to this? It seems like it would be a REALLY inexpensive way to lift a vehicle.

My concern would be with spring rates. Otherwise, it sounds like a good plan.

I heard that stock ZJ springs can lift a TJ 3 inches. I think that would only work in the front (i.e. same coil set up). ZJ rear coils are very different then TJ rear coils. This would be a great cost effective way to lift a TJ. Let us know what you find out.
