  • New lift= more questions

Lets talk about back spacing and new wheels on a recently lifted tj. Im looking to put 33x12.5 on a 3.5" lift. I wanted to get some 15x10" crager wheels, think they had 4" back spacing, i kinda know what it is but any info would be great...

go to jeepsunlimited.com and perform a search. you'll probably come up with no less than 500 threads discussing tire size and backspacing to help you out.

this would be much quicker than waiting for someone on the board to respond to such a widely discussed question.

    cheers
    03 TJ. It'll go 65mph...can't complain.

If you are planning to do any serious wheelin' you might want to consider 8" rims. They are less likley to unseat the bead at low tire pressures and allow the tire to better protect the rim from rock rash.

4" BS is the most common, did they even offer any other dims?

8" rims and at least 3 3/4"'s of backspacing I'm running that with my 33's.

This is my set up, and a very common one at that. You shouldn't have any problems with it. I believe I went with either 4 or 4.5 backspacing. Most reputable tire shops will know the proper backspacing.
