I need to install bump stops on my rig. When I bought it there were none there. I have no idea what distance to have between the bump stop and the strike point. Any input? thanx

That all depends on how your jeep is set up. You want the bump stops set at a height that will keep your tires out of the sheet metal. If you are running coils, you also want to be sure you don't fully compress the coils....but I'm assuming you are running leafs on the CJ. You will also want to make sure you hit the bumps before your shocks fully compress. But usually, you buy shocks the length you need, rather than set the bump stops for your shocks....olllllllo <--- If you can read that, roll me over!
Price is soon forgotton, quality is not.
