rear shackle location

ok so i was told that when you lift an xj the shackle has a tendency to be "straight up and down" i saw a few ideas on naxja but i was wondering if relocating the shackle mount does anything to the height of the rig. i dont want to be stink bugged. any of u guys done this before.

You can relocate your brackets without affecting the height.

it all depends on how you lifting your xj. if your using blocks (dont do it please) then your shackles can go straight up and down. if your using a shackle or spring to lift your jeep they wont. as far as doing the stink bug either get a taller coil spring or you can get a coil spring spacer.
