wheel question

ok so i got a 4.5 rc lift on my rig and it calls for a wheel with a 3.75 back space. i looked at a rubicon express 4.5 lift and it calls for a wheel with 4- 4.75 inch back space whast do you guys think?

I might be wrong but if you use a wheel with the wrong backspacing it wears out the unit bearings quickly. So shouldn't the backspacing be decided by the axel not the suspension?
