Getting a bonus next month...time to buy Jeep stuff!

First thing is tires for the Willys

    Current tire is:

    SHOULD I REPLACE WITH:

    OR

I'm leaning towards the more modern BFG, because she'll ride so much nicer. If I ever wanna restore, its simple to go back.

I also added some modifications to increase the horsepower. It is a true seat of the pants feeling of an increase. What do you think the true HP increase has been?

If your not going for all original get the bfg's I have them on my full size 3/4ton diesel and love them. I got over 50000miles out of my first set.

SAR,I would go with the BFG Black wall out,but if you need them I have 2 Mil.style tires and wheels.I think they are 7.00x16's.

Its as much fun getting dirty as it is being dirty in a Jeep!

I like the military style because they look cool. But I would put the BFGs on it anyway because they will make you want to drive it more. Put some miles on that thing.

Thanks, I have 15 inch rims though.

I'm 95% sure I'm gonna go with the BFG's, because it is not a "life altering" alteration to the vehicle...if I ever wanna go back, I can.

Can you find a modern tire with a tread pattern that's a little less busy? Something in between would be cool.

yeah, till I came home from work and found 1 tire completely flat! Jeez. I gotta go back! I just hope its not the rim. I know they were having trouble getting a rear bead to completely pop on...wonder if they just said, "F## it", and threw it on my wagon!

Where is the air leaking from? Can you fix it with a little spot weld?

                              I love it

I built one on a high school kid budget in 1980. I made it a spring over and put a 283 chevy in it. I even used the engine plate from the flat head to make the mount. I loved that thing and even looked for 'another one a couple of years ago. Keep post'n that thing as you make changes.
