Something aint right

Lately I've been having problems with the Jeep.
I'll be driving down the road and suddenly the Jeep just dies. I'll push in the clutch and drop it to a lower gear and then let the clutch out to hopefully have it start back up, but lately that's not even working.

Last friday and twice today the Jeep died and I had to stop the car.

When the Jeep is stopped it takes a few turns of the key for it to restart...

Could it be my fuel pump going bad?

It started out with just a little lug similar to a misfire every so often (like once a week or so)and then it proceeded to get worse. It's getting air and none of the plugs are fouled out or worn (In fact they are brand new)...so the only thing I can think of is the Fuel pump may be going bad and is dieing a slow painful death.

On a serious note, sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me too.

Turns out it was the Crackshaft Position Sensor O.o

wow, so for a lil while there you didn't know where your crank was at?

I'm sure most guys think their jeeps are a sort of extension of their crank...

Reading threads here on MJR for the past year, the C.P.S. seems to be a common problem.

yeah the CPS was the problem on my jeep too it was loose and would slip out and shut off everytime i turned right or was going downhill.
haha funny now that i think of it. It was hard to turn those 33s with no power steering.
