I want to put rock lights on the Desert Jewel. I keep hearing about the "cheapy" lights from Wal-Mart or Harbor Freight. Which ones are they? Are they kits?

These are the cheap-os from Wally. They are $9.99 each, and can be found in the automotive section...

And no, they are not kits, just individual lights. I had to do some easy wiring.

    Cheers! M2

That's not what she meant - she wants to put them UNDER her vehicle. Julie, they're the QH-82YF Platinum Burners Series, Quartz Halogen Off-Road/Racing Lights. They're in a black & grey box. I haven't taken a photo of mine installed yet but someone else may have one.

Rock lights are for spotting... you guessed it... ROCKS when doing a night run! Or for making your Jeep look like a ricer! Your lights are just "off road lights" majormadmax.

I started off with Wallie lights under the junk. Had some problems with them melting and loosing the lights. I changed the front out but havent did the rest yet.

            Heres some pics,

The under frame light wont get you speedy through the trails but are great at night in the rocks. The bumber mounted lights dont work in the rocks..your spotters cant see they be blinded by them...

They need to be under the Jeep so the rocks can be seen at night by the spotters.
