If it's not going to see the trail, they can get it in 4x2...If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?

GASP!!! A jeep 4x2? That's completely sacreligious!!! The new jeeps are cool with me. I love the stock bumper design. If it were possible to duplicate with a strong material, other than plastic, and still keep it from weighing a metric ton...i'd totally do it. The windows I don't like. Can ya get them is manual windows instead of power? Cause the window motor adds weight to the doors, not to mention the hassle of unplugging whosits and whatsits every time you wanna take the doors off. Or even better; does it come with half doors....ever? The new jeep motor should be pretty sweet. That V6 should save a whole lot more on gas. Instead of making 15mpg on a good day...it'll be making that on a bad day! it's got a slightly longer wheelbase...which means the breakover is not as great as the TJ's and YJ's, but it's still an extremely capable vehicle! I just don't like the unlimiteds....come tot hink of it...I never really ever liked the unlimited all that much. But IMHO they are pretty sweet Jeeps, the new Wranglers. There are things I like and don't like, but I won't go completely psycho like people did when the YJ came out >.< (Except the new unlimiteds....ew...no...4 doors....NEVER!!!)WTF Mate?

They also raised everything underneath up higher and put larger tires on with bigger fender openings. The JK actually has a better breakover than a TJ.

are there any articles on the JK's V6? the intake manifold looks interesting, to say the least. Like, straight tubes from the throttle body to the cylinders. Looks to be a pretty perfoamnce freindly setup. And a 3.8L V6 is in no way small. I had one on in a Ford Taurus, and it would get up and go...right quick. The 3.8 I had wasn't a very high rev motor, but would put out oobs and gobs of low end torque in low RPMs...hope it's the same for these ^.^
BTW...how hard is the Rubicon Trail?WTF Mate?

Rubicon can be completed in a stock vehicle WITH experience (and some damage) You need at least a few inches of lift, bigger tires (31's+), rocker protection and skids.
Lockers are not necessary but are nice
Tam2002 TJ on 35s a bit of lift with some stuff
Rock-ItMan all the way around

We had several come in from Loon to the Springs with engineers driving them at various times over a two week period and the worst damage was to the front corners of the bumpers.I am Savvy.

Heresay:
-Only need something like 3" of lift to fit 35s (no SYE, vibes, etc.)
-Longer control arms, so lift higher before needing expensive complete long arm lift
-Better fuel econemy (even though it's a V6, not an I6, gotta look at the positives!)
-Rubicons have electric sway bar disconnects!
-More room! Tons of room compared to a TJ!If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?
