  • Question On TJ Lifts

Someone I know just installed an RE 4.5" SA lift. He was complaining of several problems, mostly vibrations and clicking noises. I took a look and found several loose bolts. It looked like most of the troubles were from a loose extention mount for the control arm. Last weekend he went through and retightened everything. All but one of the problems were cured. When the wheels are turned the front dif moves slightly in the direction of the wheels. This in turn makes the JKS QD's rub on the frame. Is this slight movement normal?

    No, it is not normal.

It sounds like either the track bar bushing or rod end are wasted. That would cause the movement you are describing. That should give you horrendous death wobble, too.
