I am looking for some shocks to replace the gas version (over 20yrs old) currently installed. I think I would like a shock similar to the Monroe Sensa-trac, but they are not made for jeeps.

    1) What are the pros and cons on gas shocks vs. hydro shocks for Jeeps ?
    2) What shocks would be recommended for my 80CJ7?

    Thanks

I like the flexibility of my Rancho 9000's but even on the softest setting for them they ride stiffer than others. These have but don't require a small air compressor that changes the settings to ride stiff or soft from inside the cab. They can also be used without the comressor and instead the dial switched on the actual shock.
