    Slave cylinder

On 87-93 the slave cylinder (the hydraulic release bearing/slave cylinder assembly) is located inside the clutch housing for both the 4cyl and six. A Haynes or Chilton repair manual will help you with repairs and location of components.

        Slave cylinder

Haynes manual 50030 for Jeep Wrangler 87 thru 95 page 8-2 illustration 2.1 shows the hydraulic throwout bearing which also serves as the slave cylinder for the clutch. If your vehicle is still stock you will have to remove the transmission to get to it. I converted mine a long time ago to an external slave cylinder off a 1980's CJ5 along with a older style release lever and throwout bearing. Hope this helps.
