Keep pumpin. I had the same thing, so I returned it and got another one with the same problem apparently. I pumped it for about an hour and it still wouldn't prime. I finally ended up putting a vacuum pump on it and that was quick.1986 CJ-7; 4.6L stroker, balanced & blueprinted; 5" lift, 35x1250 MTRs, Poison Spyder Full Width kit,

sounds gross but give it a little help and suck the fuild through, than bench bleed like normal.
the problem is that you have an air bubble in the piston that doesnt want to come out.

Back in June when I asked this I swapped the master cylinder off my CJ7 project and thhe NAPA master cylinder has been sitting on a shelf in the garage.Fast foward to October and on the way home from a Jeep run the mc stops working.I used the vacuum bleeding method and got it to bleed and the new master cylinder is working fine!!But noew the left front caliper is hanging up.I check to see if there is mud not allowing it to rlease but if not I'll swap it out for another."Good Girls and Dirty Jeeps" a song by Opal Justice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xRtRE45OVQ

It sound like you have something in the pins that your caliper slides on. pull the 2 pins that hold it in place and work the sliders back in forth. Do not use grease or oil to lube! use a dry lube like silcone. you should be able to move the caliper back in forth freely.
If the piston is stuck in the caliper eirther rebuild it or replace it.
