  • Waterproof Distributor Cap

Does anyone know where I can buy a waterproof distriutor cap and coil or how to fabricate something that will stop water from getting in when splashing threw the puddles ?
    Thanks,
    Dave

spray the inside of the cap with WD-40. It will displace the water. Or you can run a bead of silicone on the cap where it meets the dist, but that will probably trap water instead of keeping it out.

might try a piece of motorcycle inner tube that fits tight around the base of the cap and top part of the distributor housing like a sleeve with a couple of zip-ties to keep it snug. Then a little plumbers putty where the wires go into the dist cap and coil. I've seen the swampers goo up the whole distributor with the putty, lookes like hell but I guess it works.
:gun: My garage ain't cluttered, it's just cozy with crap.

does your jeep use a breather on the cap, you will recognize it by the little moveable peice of plastic on the cap. you will have to seal this to if it does
