    AW4 differences

    What are the differences in the different years of AW4? Will a newer controller work on an old transmission and vise-versa?

        OK. OLD topic but I finally did the swap. The older RENIX AW4 works just fine in the newer XJ (92). wiring was the same except the newer setup uses a speed sensor that is in its own harness.
