My 92 YJ has C clip.

It's possible to tell just by looking at the axle but the diff is slight. The c clip axles have a skinny axle tube all the way to the backplate. The non c have a larger section a few inches before the backplate. Does that help :confused:

They are fully interchangeable. It's only the older non c-clip axles used something like 1989 and older Dana 35c axles that can't be used in a TJ.

As long as it is a C-Clip Dana 35 on the YJ. I am not sure what year this change over happened.
