  • Driving styles for manuals?

At what point do all you people shift for optimal gas mileage and what rpms you usually at for cruising etc?

Trying to better my driving habits. :-)

    Thanks!

keep the engine RPM as low as possible, while not getting run over.

I get better gas milage while crawling along in traffic at 25 - 30 than I do cruizing at ~75.

I gave up on watching my gas mileage once I regeared to 4.56. It just makes me depressed so I flip my air compressor switch on and off until I feel better

      Seriously, I tend to run 2200 - 2800 rpms.

keep your rpms under 2000, and itll make a big difference. I notice If I stay around 60 or 65, I get the best mileage.
