  • Tires, Tires, Tires.

Saturday I called Americas tire and asked about some 33's mtr's to replace my two blown tires. $185 each plus mounting, balance, and additional for the warranty. Damn

Well, today is Sunday. I went to CostCo to see what they had in the way of tires. I was going to leave cause they had nothing bigger than a 31 inch tire. Lynda asks about their tires and says we are looking for 33's. The guy say well I got some 35's that someone ordered and never picked up. You can have em for $150 bucks each, mounted, balanced, valve stems, amd roadhazard all included in the price. Well, what kind of tires are they, I was thinking, so I asked. "What kind of tires are they"

The guy said. BFGoodrich Mud Terrains - 3 ply side wall, you know the new design to compete with the MTR. I said I'll take em.

So now my jeep doesn't go uphill very well, but it sure looks pretty

Sweet deal!!! I hope I can come up with something like that when it's time for me to buy!

BTW, I not only noticed a difference on the street, but off road it affected me too. Now my gearing isn't quite low engough!!

I've heard a few people rant about the Dunlop Mud Rovers from Sams Club. 33" is $100 a pop. and they have warranty and road hazard. A guy aled what if i bring one back with a fist sized hole in the sidewall, and Sams Club said they would replace them. The yhave tires up to 35"s too. Lucky score for those 35"s, I just cant see paying 150+ for tires.
Screw you guys, I'm goin' to pismo.

            $150, that's all. That's awesome.

I'm thinking about spending $172 a tire. Super Swamper TSL's in the Q78 size. I guess it's all about the performance that you, and that will dictate how much you spend. Then again, I might decide to be frugal, and only spend $113 each for Swamper LTB's in the 34 x 10.5 Who knows.

Congrats Kirk on the steal of the week.

He unloaded the Dunlop's because they were CRAP. He had a flat just about every run.

They are called Dun Lops for a reason.

                    Last Chance Canyon- 3 flats,
                    Doran - one flat
                    Rubicon - two flats
around my house - 5 flats.

I got two new ones for sale- they have less than 1000 miles on them.
