  • Water Temp Guage Not Working

    Hey guys,

I just started driving my 93 jeep grand cherokee 4.0l last week. this is my winter vehicle. my car is a 95 nissan 240sx that i have turboed and much more work done. its jsut too low and has summer only tires.

My problem is that the water temp guage does not work. the engine does warm up ( i have heat inside) so its not the T-stat. i also put in a new water temp sensor today which did nothin. i left it unplugged also and the check engine light came on so i know the wiring has to be good going to the ecu.

this leaves me to think that the guage itself is broken. what are my options?

also the display screeen a the bottom of the center console blinks saying the oil level sensor is bad. looking under the jeep for a while i cant find anything in the oil pan, or anywhere else that would be this sensor. where is it?

    thanks for your help guys.
