Can you change the auto shifter in a TJ?

So here's my plan. I want to get rid of my center console and put a B&M shifter in there. It's an auto so I am thinking it should be easy. Question I have has anyone ever seen this done? I want to make sure it's do-able before I go yankin' my console out to check things out.

Yep. It's just a cable that shifts the tranny.

Im also very interested in replacing the Tranny shifter in my Jeep. Im just vein though. No particular reason other than I want a cool one!
