Spark Arrestor ?

I'm going to try and get my jeep inspected this Saturday. For off-road use around here they say you have to have a spark arrestor. Is this for like ATV's and motorcycles or is this something I need to install somewhere in my exhaust?

I looked into this a while back and as Art said a muffler counts. The exception is a straight pass through (like a glass pack) doesn't satisfy the Federal rules although I didn't see anything specific in the state code.

A catalytic converter before the muffler should also satisfy this.
