Great 88 Repairs Check List

  • YJ: Great 88 Repairs Check List

    1. Replace driver side and pitman arm tie rod ends - done
    2. Replace rear drive shaft u-joint - done
    3. Replace transmission pan and new bolts - parts ordered
    4. Replace both front axle leaf spring hangars - parts in, scheduling the work to be done
    5. Replace front axle pinion seal - part delivered
    6. Replace steering stabilizer - part ordered
    7. Replace driver's seat - done

    That is all for now...

                      That's common with the fronts.
                      When mine cracked near the loop. I welded in a 1/2" dia rod where the loop comes back and meets the flat, and so far all has been well for the last 20+ yrs.

                        No! I've taken the YJ places the CJ could never go thanks to the nice build Mitch did! When you play hard, somethings are just gonna need a little tlc.
