  • Does ARB compressor have enough air to run an impact wrench?

Does anyone know if the compressor for ARB's is enough power to operate 1/2in. Impact Wrench?

I know the older ones don't but the newer compressors can pump a small storage tank quicker. It might be good enough for a short burst.

Call ARB Tech. They've always been great, when I've had questions.
It was like that when I got here.

Impact would require about 4-5 CFM at 90 PSI The ARB compressor is more like 2 CFM at 90 PSI.

If you're wanting to run an impact on the trail to remove/install 5 lugnuts... a ratchet is faster.

if you're lazy use a good 12V impact. I got a cheap one on clearance at Wal-Mart for like $12 once. I've used it few times.

EDIT: my cheap one is not a Good one, just cheap. Good ones tend to be pricey.

a york210 project is just the thing you need. I did it and never looked back. I love it. And air tools are a breeze! BTW get a junkyard 210. NOT a new one from a website. A pick a part compressor will set you back about 30 bucks,, then source your stuff otherwise. Will set you back about 400.00 max. Set your regulator for your ARB, link it to your ARB switches and there ya go..
