  • Crank Positioning Sensor Modification

    Hello everyone,

Has anyone else ever tried this mod? Have you had good results? It looks interesting, I am not sure why everyone is not doing it if it is so easy?

Basically it is supposed to give you a bit more torque down low and not impact power across the entire powerband.

Advancing to timing your nox will be greatly increased so passing smog might not happen unless you have a stock sensor to swap out. Advancing timing will give you more torque down lower rpm level but you probably have to run premium fuel to take advantage of it. Unless you plan on drag racing its really not worth the time or effort for the minimal torque increase. Now the guys running bigger cams this is probably the cheap fix to make up for the lower vacuum the map is seeing because of the increased overlap of the cam. The map sees the lower absolute pressure and for some reason retards the initial timing a bit. Advancing the initial timing makes up for the timing loss with the bigger cam.
