Goodyear SilentArmor tire recall

Just heard on the news that this style of goodyear tire will be recalled due to tread separation. Wonder if this is going to affect or is the actual reason why MTR's are being out of stock.

MT/Rs have been on short supply off and on for years due to the military buying huge quantities of them for Iraq and Afghanistan. Goodyear can barely keep up with demand for the MT/R.
