Hey Brett, Sorry to hear that the MC didn't fix your problem.

You may want to ask around, but I have always heard it is a bad idea to run slotted rotors for off road use due to water, mud and rocks getting in the rotors and the benefits from the slots (cooling and gas dissipation) are minimal off road because there is less high speed heavy braking where you usually have those problems, depends on who is driving I guess

But I haven't had first hand experience with slotted rotors off road, just the rumors.

Half price day at pick a part coming up...I saw three hydroboosters last time I was there...just sayin'

The only time I ever felt my brakes were inadequate was on the highway under a panic stop. That is ware ventilated rotors help.

you may want to change out your porportion valve, for one that works for 4 wheel disc. I used one out of a grand Cherokee, 94? i think?

Yeah, definitely on a freeway panic stop they would help. High speed, hard braking is where you see the benefit of slotted rotors. But he seems to have trouble on the trail at low speed, so I am not sure if there will be much benefit.

The benefit of the hydroboost is sheer clamping force. All the other upgrades are fine. You definitely want a healthy system before adding the boost, but it is tough to beat the power of hydro.

I am in the process of putting in a ford 8.8 in the rear and I am upgrading the front and rear rotors with Centric Slotted rotors. I am also putting Black Magic pads in the front. Probably generic pads in the rear. I will keep you all posted on how things are progressing in the next two weeks. Please continue to email your thoughts and ideas.

Have you checked to make sure your brake hoses aren't bulging under load?

Thanks for the link. I will see how it goes when we put on new rotors and pads on all 4 corners.
