  • XJ: Windshield Washer Pump fix?

    Hi,

My windshield washer sprayers don't spray in front or back windshield. Thinking its the Windshield Washer Pump. Can someone tell me where it is located and if its a easy fix? Its a cheap replacement part I know that

    Thanks,
    Doug

The pump is located at the bottom of your windshield washer fluid container bottle. It's very easily swapped, it is only held in the container by an o-ring and the wiring is easily swapped via a standard 2-wire connector.

      Thanks for info Jerry,

I just bought the new part. So do I need to access pump from wheel well, pulling back plastic in wheel well?

The washer bottle is easily unbolted to gain access to the pump, just two bolts IIRC hold it on.

There are 2 pumps front and rear.. they pull right out of the fluid container. check to make sure you have power.. It seems that dirt gets in the tiny holes on the sprayers and clogs them up. I used a safety pin to fix my problem. FREEEEE !!!
