I don't have a 4.3, but I'm happy with the power in my CJ too.

wow, a new steering wheel. That makes me want to run out and buy one..

Actually a few months ago, I emailed Chrysler and asked if they were ever going to offer the J8 in America. I mentioned that I understood that the engine in it didn't meet US EPA regulations, so why not put in one of Chrysler's engine that does meet the requoirements?

Believe it or not, I received a reply! It seemed to be a personal response and not a "canned" response. The VP of something or other who wrote me didn't commit of course but they were looking at it and appreciates input from customers.

I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to come on the market...

Thats what I thought when a Jeep rep came to one of my club meetings in 99', asking what we would want in a "super Jeep" as factory equipment. We didn't think it would ever happen. 3 years later, the rubicon is a reality. Ya never know.
It was like that when I got here.

Oh I get it, and agree. It wasn't too long ago Jeep had a Commerical on tv showing them clean the interior with a hose. I just wasn't sure you actually knew how radical a change the new interior actually is. I'm sure it's nice and comfy, and will do quite well in the soccermom club, but.....
