first time on the tow bar,help

hooked it all up ,went to put the trans in park.made some clunking kinda noise,leaving in an hour.

Had you moved it yet? Did the clunk come from the towed vehicle?

jusy called jeep,they said put the trans in park.then put tranfer case into nuetral.

when in dougt,check the owners manul,everything went well,thanks for the info.

Well, what the O/M does NOT tell you is this. That on CJ's w/Dana 300 t/case, it's BEST to pull the rear drivshaft to save the t/cases rear output shaft bearing when "flat" towing the Jeep.
