I am having a hell of a time getting my tie rod of tonight. The castle nut is almost all the way off but now the whole joint is spinning inside the knuckle so I can't get the castle nut off. Any suggestions?

probably nopt what u want to do but if u can get the tie rod up a litte bit u can grab the shaft above the threads with a pair of vise grips. it wont hurt anything because its the part where the end sits in the knuckle. and it wont messup the threads.
