Well we finally got the fuel run down in the tank so we could install Seans (my 16 yr old son) tank skid from Savvy. (one of his xmas presents)
Pics tell the story well.....
Ugly old skid & safety first!
Work Boy work!
Noice!
Before measurement (on stands)
After measurement (on stands) Gained an Inch of tank clearance!
(skid is adjustable and can be moved up if you Also have at least a 1" body lift)
Note that the skid actually covers the D/S of the tank where the stocker didn't.
This was a super easy install. The tank comes w/ ALL necessary hardware to include new mounting studs, if the old ones are bad, w/ retainers and new nuts. It also includes new push in plastic retainers for the wheel well liners and zip ties so everything can be put back together nicely. Savvy Really did their homework on this one and it is well worth the $. Savvy Skid weighs several pounds more than the stocker, is way better protection and LOTS of weight less than a comparable steel skid.
