Good call! Forgot to check the spares.

              Spare
              Jeep - I'll have to ask Dennis. It's either 1999 or 2009. Can't tell.
Suburban - 2002! So, I will have to replace that when I get a chance
Neon - 2001! I will double check that and have to take it out for better view.

The DJ tires are fine, but the Taurus I bought has tires from China on it...they don't have the date on them. There is an oval at the end of the DOT line, but it's blank. NICE, huh?!

Try the inside (oposite side) and see if it shows.

That segment was from last November, but I'm pretty sure I saw a similar segment a few years back. It was a good reminder. I had forgotten about the code. Thanks!

                        Your welcome!

You would think this would happen in small chains or small shops. But, to see Sears and others just blows my mind.

I don't need to worry about it. My tires don't last much over a year anyway.

Some of those people bought "new" tires that were 14yrs old! 1yr or 5yr of owning that still put your tire at 15+ years old. Did you see the new tire that was 8yrs old off the shelf on the machine? Blew out the tread. So, if someone would have bought that tire and went on the freeway...well the rest is history. Personally, not worth the risk to my family.

I am going to call my sister too. She has bought a few tires at Walmart that blew out after owning less than a year. May or may not be related age of tire.
