I think the dolly is the best option. I have seen a few with brakes for under $1000. And with a dolly you are prepared to tow more than just one Jeep.

I would guess that a dolly weights around 200lbs. They are easy to move around by hand. And more importantly for me they can be stood up on end to store in a small space.Those left standing

For those reading this thread who want to put on a good brake controller, I would recommend the US Gear. I put one on my JK and it works very well.

One of the features I like is that you connect the towing vehicle 12v to the towed vehicle, which keeps the battery charged. This means on the JK you do not have to disconnect the battery.Rich
