        Our 92 YJ does the same thing....shot it about 4 feet yesterday...lol Scared the hell out of the guy driving the BMW behind us

          Also, my gas gauge is badly offset so I never know just how much I am going to have to put in.

          Any help will be appreciated.

          Also I have the same gas gauge problem so most of the time when im not just winging it I fuel up according to the mileage.Its kind of a pain to keep track of but it keeps me from making a mess and running out of fuel all the time.
          There's mud out there, and it's calling my name!!!

            I owned a '90 YJ and had the same problem. If you mounted an oversized spare, I would remount your plate on the spare and get rid of your license plate mount. That should fix the problem.
