  • fender trimming

I need to trim my fenders this weekend to fit my new 33's. Do any of you guys/gals have any pics or write-ups on this. I have some idea of how I want to do it, but any additional info would be great. By the way, it's a 2000 XJ so I want it to look fairly nice still.
    Thanks,
    Chad

If you have 5.5" of lift on yer XJ, you shouldn't need too much fender trimming. The Missus put in the RE XD5.5 and only had a slightly dinged passenger rear sheetmetal where the tire folded over the sheetmetal to widen the well. Fixed with a bit of bumpstop extension.

Having said that, here is the Jeepin.com writeup on fender trimming the XJ.

See there is where you got me. I was going to post pics of the ol XJ. I think it looks ok, but some might not think so. Good luck. Oh, just for reference, I went at mine with some tin snips and a hammer!
