p/s pump compatibility

is an 04 p/s pump (4.0) compatible with a 97 (4.0)?

I don't know about the pumps but am positive the steering box's are different for those years.

If it bolts on and you can come up with a highpressure hose that will hook up to it, it should work

Autozone.com says they are. 97 and 04 with 4.0.

ATSCO PN 7140 with 6243 without reservior.
