Engine stalls

My engine is not starting up with just a turn of the key like it normally does, I need to give it some gas. The car dies from what seems to be too low and idle, basically it idles down to nothing within a second or two and then it conks out. I notice a pool of liquid under my exhast and it has no smell to it.

I wonder if I got a tank of bad gas, as I just filled up earlier.

If it is bad gas, any precautions/steps I need to take besides syphoning out what I can and put in 'good' gas?

Then I need to dispose of this 'bad' gas somehow.
