Hardtop window tint

hey ya'll

so my hardtop windows have what looks to be factory tinting on them, but its not dark enough and i want to tint my door windows aswell. since the hardtop windows are plastic does the old tint come right off? or do i just tint over it? hell are they even plastic i havent looked that hard. do i need special tint for it or does the regular stuff work just fine. anyways thanks for any help

The windows on my hardtop were auto glass. And they tinted them with I think limo. And was lighter up front.

GILA brand tint

Whatever you do don't use GILA brand tint. I used that on the side windows (limo) and sunroof of my cherokee of course before my brother told me not to use that brand as after 6 to 12 months it will turn purple. Sure enough, after about 6 or 8 months I was driving around with purplish looking tint on my rig....MATT

I did the tint on my hard top. It had crap purple and now it has 35% charcoal. It's definitely a 5-footer but it works. I suck with edges.

why dont you get them sprayed?? theres quite a few places around here that do it. and in my all honest opinon, dont tint them anymore then stock. i dont know about you but when im out wheeling and it gets dark i like to see out all the windows. just my .02 cents ( then again it canadian so does it count??) hahahaha.

My '02 TJ hard top was factory tinted glass windows. I took that POS off as soon as I could. I don't like the HT.
