Soooo...I wrecked an totalled my XJ...
So, I'm gonna rebuild it. I'm getting another XJ body to swap my drivetrain into.
The drivetrain is in excellent shape.
Now with the questions...
Will my 4.0 H.O. bolt into another XJ that isn't a similar model year...like the late model XJ's or the XJ's with the Renix engines.
Will the tranny and t-case bolt up?
What about the wiring harness? I know the late model XJ's will need to be rewired for for my motor, but will the Renix?
Is it difficult to convert an automatic to a manual when you've got the AX-15 and T-case already?
Anybody wanna run through some points with me that I should pay attention to on the rebuild? I mean, my dad's a certified mechanic, but I'm going to be doing a good percentage of the rebuild with his supervision...so...yeah...
Any advice based on questions I haven't asked?
I REALLY need to get back on the road. My XJ was my daily driver, and now I need to rebuild it into another XJ body
