  • Check and see if your Jeep needs recalls

Simply go to this page and plug in the last 8 numbers of your VIN. It will list any recalls your Jeep needs.

Mine came back with 2, the parking brake pedal assembly and the fuel tank sending unit gasket.

I'm going to call JEEP tomorrow. There is also a recall for the cat on my year Jeep i've seen posts from a bunch of people on various forums who got them replaced for free from JEEP. It's not showing up on the list when i punched in my vin, but i'm going to ask them about it anyhow.

Okay!! I didn't know if the cleaner then I am was for my post or you were just saying that.

Anyways, I'm glad (surprised nonetheless) that Marvin has no recalls.

Doh! My '99 XJ.... Airbag Control Module... I like this part of it...
"the airbag control mudule on your Cherokee may corrode internally due to water intrusion. Internal corrosion could cause illumination of the airbag warning light or CAUSE THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY WITHOUT WARNING. THIS COULD INJURE A FRONT SEAT OCCUPANT IF THEY ARE OUT OF POSITION OR CAUSE AND ACCIDENT."
                        YIKES!
