    i have a 1990 jeep yj and my dads friend has a soft top from a 1997 wrangler and is willing to give it to me, but will it fit?

    I dont think so. However, you could sell it on ebay or here in our for sale section and buy one with the money

      Brand new Supertops with all the hardware are just over 5 bills. Replace-a-Tops are way cheaper.

      I've got a square corner factory top with sliding glass uppers collecting dust in my garage. You can have it for $100 +shipping

          YJ.
          They were for my Jeep, but I got a hardtop and steel doors instead.

            Definitely not, the YJ and TJ tops are totally different in pretty much all ways possible. As suggested, take it and sell it (covertly if need be) and use the $$$ to buy one made for your YJ.
