  • condensation buildup on dipstick

Im getting condensation buildup on my engine oil dipstick and it is rusting it. Ive had my valve cover off and took the little vent thing off and cleaned it but still there.
Can I just put a pvc valve on the valve cover?
Also, my engine temp doesnt seem to be getting hot enough. New thermostate and it bairly gets to 165 and its cold.
Hard to start when its cold also.

What is your t-stat temp rated at? guessing this is on a 4.0L?
PCV valve working properly? What kind of driving do you do? Long trips where it should get hot or short trips? It isn't uncommon to see some condensation in any engine as the cooling off of a hot engine will allow some moisture to form but if it is a lot then something is wrong. Got any pics of what the dipstick looks like when this occurs?
