  • Oxygen acetylene eye safety?

I was wondering what shade lense I should be using when I'm using a cutting torch. My welding mask is a auto-darkening miller elite 2, can I use one of the settings on my mask( I wear glasses it's more comfortable)? If so which setting can I use? The cutting mode on my mask is a shade 8 and with the sensitivity on 8 it's dark all the time, will that work? Any point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Usually a 5 or 6 lens for a cutting torch, if you can still see what your doing with an 8 then your good to go.

Ok thankyou I just wanted to make sure to be safe before I actually use my mask instead of the goggles
