  • Not metal but still fabrication

I was tired of the back of my jeep getting full of mudd thrown from the back tires. I was afraid of my kids getting sick being wet and cold so I made my own top with removable sides out of 18# water resistant canvas.

Now I think everyone will stay a little dryer in the melting snow.

Thanks, I think it kind of looks like something the military might of put on it.

Thanks guys. It took me and my wife about 8 hours to finish, and we found out that I am better with my wifes sewing machine than she is. Ooops dont know if I should be saying that now I will have to do all my own sewing.

i wish there were more posts of stuff like this. im tired of seeing 60s 14 bolts and 4 link threads. little stuff like this is what makes wheeling fun. its just a shame that material to build stuff is almost just as expensive to buy what ur looking for.

It actually only cost us about $100 to build. So for mods that I have done so far it is one of the cheapest.

Your top looks great! I have thought about building something similar for my TJ. Good inspiration to get to it.
