  • I had a busy weekend

I finally got some spare time to put on the flat fenders I had recently bought.

I took two of these, rattle canned them black

took the fenders off. What a mess.

I kind of like the look of the Jeep like this,

and made the jeep look like this

I think I need bigger tires. I at least have room in front now.

The only thing I lost in the process was the ability to use the windshield washer. It was either that or loose the raidiator overflow. That was a no brainer. I'll worry about the washer later.
I can hardly wait to see it perform at IDTT. I was seriously digging into the stock fenders. Ya, I know, bumpstops would have prevented that but with a YJ, you need all the help to flex that you can get.

Did jeep change the style of washer bottle and overflow from 87yj-95yj?

If so I would suggest finding a set from an 87 yj. After i highlined my fenders the jeep still had room for the stock tanks to fit back in.

        something to look at.

I was about to ask about that. I noticed when I was fitting the new fender, the inside portion looked to fit further in than the stock fenders. At that point I said to myself, "self, that might be a problem". That's why I lost the windshield washer tank. I was hoping for some ideas.
            Thanks.

Dang Jason, I missed this! That looks really good. But you don't need bigger tires, that looks fine, and I've seen you wheel so all bigger tires will do is drain your wallet... See you at IDTT?

                            The fenders are by Smittybilt.
