  • blink-blink noice from seat bealts alarm

Hello guys, as you may aware of, we “build-up” the JK for the Outback Challenge in Australia (05/16-24/08). The Jeep is already there.
Jeanette is complaining about the blink-blink for seat belts alarm, and I understand that.

We removed the OEM seats and seat belts too, so, how we supposed to shot down the safety feature without clicking a seat belt and seats that are not in place anymore?

OK, pics of the JK here… just in case that you are not aware of…

    Thanks for your input!!!

I'm sure a simple splice will do. Get a wiring diagram and jump the harness where you unplugged it from the seat and belt. You can probably test it with a paper clip. Make the computer think that either the seat belt is clicked at all times or the seat is empty at all times. Or you can go low-tech with a square of masking tape over the indicator

    The JK looks good!

I looked around everywhere for a JK wiring diagram and couldn't find one. Can you figure out how to close the seat belt circuit with the wires on the OEM seatbelt? That will at least give you the right pinouts to jump or splice.

                thanks, some numbers:

                $1,667.30 - Carnet de Passage JK - Export/Import documentation
$200.00 - Carnet Express Fee - to prepare the document
                $149.00 - Power of Attorney
                $3,382.00 - Ship LA - Melbourne - Clare Logistics
$750.00 aprox, to release customs in Australia, I was not there, so I'm not sure about the correct amount that was paid.

Melbourne - LA - pending invoice

We rented a 100 series (Land Cruiser) for almost $300 a day, included roof tent, all camping gear, fredge, dual fuel tank, bull bar (a plus to move out the way the Canguros at night time). no lockers, no winch... is not for off road trips, but dirty roads are OK...that's what we did...
