CJ7 Tube Front Fenders

Ok, laid my CJ7 on it's side and bent up the passenager fender. Now I have an excuse to install tube fenders. My first question is which kit is the best one out there. I have looked at spider and a couple others. My second question is the amount of flare. I recently saw a jeep with 6" flares that looked a bit big. Was thinking about 4.5" does anyone have the 3" and wish they had gone wider?

In my opinion...more then 3 looks like dumbo waiting to fly! But if johnny law sucks in your part of town then you have your answer...If not NO FLAIR:yay:

Check out rat patrol's home brew ones with the removable flare. They're pretty sweet. Of course it's on a TJ, but so what. Custom is custom.

Thanks guys. I agree the 6" looked pretty strange. I see there is a 4.5" flare. Not too worried about the law unless I get into an area where barny is hanging out. Experienced that once in Idaho, the guy was shaking so bad I felt sorry for him.

I concur with jimmyrig. 6” looks funny on a CJ. I’m looking at getting a set myself real soon and from what I have read the 3” flare will give you close to the same width as the stock fenders. Both Gen Right and Poison Spider are great fenders but you will pay for the name. Word is that Gen Right is (or has) come out with a new CJ tube fender and I’m possibly going that route. Also these don’t look to bad and are nicely priced. But don’t let the pictures fool you.
