  • ford V6 swap gas & trans

Is there company that builds adapters to put a Ford V6 in a 56 willy's? I have a 4 banger in it I want to keep the original drive train. This willy's has been sitting for about 20 years.
I put in a new gas tank The old one had varnish and gummed out I wonder about the fuel pump and lines I tried to screw the line in the tank but it's size is off. Do you think after sitting this long the trans and differentials are gummed up or the oil sludged out?
    thanks

If you're scrapping the engine, you should probably scrap the trans too. The original 4 banger couldn't have been more than 50 or 60 HP. The Ford V6 you're putting in is probably double that or more. I'd use a tranny that is designed for that kind of torque and horsepower. Is the T-case divorced on the Willy's?
